Ferrari Man Takes Design Board To Fiat

LORENZO Ramaciotti, the man behind the designs of such beautiful cars as Ferrari's Enzo, 550 Maranello, 360 Modena and the current F430 and 612 Scaglietti models, has been appointed head of styling for the Fiat Group, responsible for Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Lancia and Maserati.
Born in Modena, Italy's automotive heartland, in 1948, Ramaciotti graduated from the Turin Polytechnic with a degree in mechanical engineering, joining styling house Pininfarina in 1973 to produce models and prototype cars. In 2002 he became Pininfarina chief executive officer. Ramaciotti takes up his new role with Fiat on Monday.
